Todd joined the Spartan family in 2014. He has spent nine of his dozen years in practice in the public sector, with the last seven of those specifically in the higher education arena. His practice focuses on Academic and Student Affairs, Business Transactions, and Employment. Prior to arriving at UNCG, Todd spent four years representing the United States Department of Education in Washington, D.C. where he served in The Office of General Counsel’s Division of Business & Administrative Law. While there, he served as one of the Department’s two primary federal bid protest litigators before the GAO and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims as well as providing advice on appropriations, employment matters (EEOC and MSPB), FERPA, and FOIA.
Todd previously worked at Unisys Federal Systems in Reston, Virginia where he focused on federal contracting and procurement, primarily for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation and Security Administration. Todd began his legal career with a civil litigation firm in McLean, Virginia where he focused on family law and criminal defense.
